Are you ready to learn how to make the most delicious, mouthwatering calzones of all time? Well, grab your apron and let’s get cooking!

First, let’s gather our ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 tubes refrigerated pizza dough

Now that we have everything we need, let’s get to work!

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F.

Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it is browned and fully cooked. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the onion is translucent.

Step 3: Stir in the marinara sauce and let the mixture simmer for 5-6 minutes or until it has thickened.

Step 4: On a lightly floured surface, roll out one of the tubes of pizza dough into a large, thin rectangle. Place half of the beef mixture down the center of the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Top the beef mixture with half of the mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Scatter a few basil leaves over the top.

Step 5: Fold the dough over the filling, pressing the edges to seal the calzone. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make a second calzone.

Step 6: Place the calzones on a baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.

Step 7: Serve the calzones hot, with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.

And there you have it, the best calzones of all time! Now go forth and impress your friends and family with your mad cooking skills.
