Mama’s Homemade Pizza

Are you ready to learn how to make the most delicious, authentic homemade pizza of all time? Well, grab your apron and let’s get cooking!

First, let’s gather our ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup toppings of your choice (such as diced bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, and/or pepperoni)

Now that we have everything we need, let’s get to work!

Step 1: In a small bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes or until it becomes foamy.

Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and the olive oil to the bowl and stir everything together until a dough forms.

Step 3: On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for 5-10 minutes or until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Step 4: Place the dough in a large bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

Step 5: Preheat your oven to 425°F. Roll out the dough into a large circle or rectangle, depending on your preference. Place the dough on a large baking sheet.

Step 6: Spread the marinara sauce over the top of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and toppings of your choice over the sauce.

Step 7: Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 8: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing it into wedges. Serve the pizza with a side of garlic knots and a cold glass of your favorite soda.

And there you have it, the best authentic homemade pizza of all time! Now go forth and impress your friends and family with your mad cooking skills. Just don’t be surprised if they ask for seconds… or thirds!
